Professional Bio
Yingke Li is a communication scientist specializing in interpersonal influence, health communication, and resilience development. She is particularly interested in examining whether and how interpersonal interactions foster positive mental health outcomes, such as resilience, while mitigating potential rumination about future stressors. Her previous work includes two directions: one focuses on the effects of family communication patterns on college students’ mental health through the lens of social motives and resilience building, and the other examines why and how people from diverse backgrounds and identities exhibit differences or similarities in communicating about health-related issues. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in journals such as Health Communication and Nutrients.
Alongside her research, Yingke teaches Effective Speech (CAS 100A) and Persuasion (CAS 220), and serves as a Teaching Assistant for Communication and Information Technology (CAS 283) and Communication Theory (CAS 303).
